I've pretty much decided that people suck. See, two years ago we moved to our current apartment and were not able to take our precious cats with us. Now, I know most of you don't really care but this is something that is very near and dear to my heart.
I loved those cats with all of my heart and was so depressed when we couldn't bring them along. Poor Kayl ran around the house looking for them for three days.
I took them to the shelter praying that they would be adopted because they were really good cats.
Two years later I go to the shelter just to look around and I get the nerve up to request the adoption information on my cats to see if they were adopted. My worst fears were realized, all three of them were put to sleep because no one wants older cats. Everyone wants kittens.
I feel so terrible that we couldn't find them homes on our own. I loved those cats and now I miss them so much and I feel so bad. People Suck!
R.I.P. Kater, Haru, and Lily, I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry that happened to your kitties! We adopt from the Humane Society (a no kill shelter) here and all of there cats are older cats. There youngest kitties are about 4 years old. I actually prefer older kitties than kittens.
We adopted Flora from there and she was 9 years old (almost 10) when we got her and she had been at the shelter for 9 months.
In conclusion Seattle is much nicer to their animals that need homes. They give them all the time that they need.
And I have serious grammar issues. haha
