What do you do when you don't have enough money to take your three cats to the vet and they all have Upper Respitory Infections?

Well, I keep them in a room with a humidifier and I hope that they don't die while we try to get enough money for the anti-biodics.


Well, the infection started with Kater. I noticed that he was sneezing alot and leaking fluid out of his eyes.


"Hmm," I thought to myself "Maybe if I keep him seperated from the other cats they'll be okay."


I was wrong because 4 days later Lily and Haru started having the same symptons.


Now Kater isn't sneezing as much but poor Lily and Haru, they seem to have it worse then Kater did. Haru actually has to breath out of his mouth and Lily scares herself half to death whenever she sneezes.


What am I to do?

HALO Night

So, every Thursday Todd and I host a HALO night in our apartment. Tyson and Shawn are the two people who always who come and every so often we get others coming over.

I sometimes get roped into playing. I will only play if I'm on Tyson's team for capture the flag. Which is the game that I am the best at.

So every Thursday I get to eat pizza and drink soda and play HALO.

Wow, I really have no life! LOL!!

And Kayl sleeps through it all!

Scheduling

Since the day that I brought Kayl home he has slept through the night. (I know you're all jealous) Now he is starting to have a daily routine which is really nice for me.

Here is a run down of my day!

6:30 am- The alarm rings and Todd gets up and goes to work : (

7:00 am- Kayl wakes up

7:01 am- I get up and get him out of the crib

7:05 am- I change his diaper (Usually between 7 and 7:30 he has a good poop)

7:07 am- Make bottle and feed Kayl

7:30 am- Put Kayl back in crib and turn on his music

7:35 am- Restart Rent and go back to bed

10:00 am- Kayl wakes up for the day

10:05 am- I wake up for the day and get dressed

10:10 am- Kayl starts crying

10:12 am- Change and feed Kayl

10:45 am- I get to eat breakfast YAY!!!

11:00am - 12:30 pm- Play with Kayl

12:45 pm- Feed and change Kayl again

1:00 pm- 3:00 pm- Play some more with Kayl

3:15 pm- Kayl gets fussy because he wants his bath

3:30 pm- Bath time WOOHOO!!!

4:00 pm- Change and feed Kayl again

4:15 pm - 5:00pm- Play some more with Kayl

5:00 pm- Todd comes home!!

5:00 pm- 5:30 pm- Todd plays with Kayl

5:30 pm- Todd leaves for work again

5:30 pm- 6:15 pm- Play some more with Kayl

6:17 pm- Change and feed Kayl again

6:45 pm- Put Kayl in bed and start his music

7:00 pm- 11:00 pm- Sit around doing nothing. Fun Huh!!

11:11 pm- Kayl wakes up to eat and get changed

11:15 pm- Todd gets home

11:30 pm- Kayl goes back to bed and so do we after we turn on Rent

5:00 am- Kayl wakes up to be fed and changed (Todd takes care of that one)

5:15 am- Kayl goes back to sleep till 7 when I start this whole cycle over again!!

So if anyone would like to come over and play with me and Kayl we would love it!!

I'm just glad that we actually have a schedule and he is only 3 months.

I know that I'm probably going to get a lot of comments from my family telling me that I made a stupid decision but I would love to tell everyone that I do have a tattoo on my back and I've had it there for almost 2 years now.

I absolutly love it. No, I didn't get a demon symbol. I got a symbolthat makes me think of life and freedom. It is the prettiest Dolphin on the planet.

Many of you know my love for dolphins and that it is my dream to swim with them. In a few months I will be getting 2 more dolphins and putting Todd, mine, and Kayl's names in them. So, if no one can say anything nice to me don't say anything at all. This is my life and my decision and I'm really happy how I am.

From Brown to Red

So, the other day I decided to make another Texas sheet cake for Todd as a surprise. I had all of the ingredients ready to go and as I went to fridge to get the milk I came to find that we had no milk.

"Nuts!!" I thought to myself

So, I put Kayl in his carseat and was about to walk out the door when Todd walked in.

"Where are you going?"

"To the store, I was making you a cake but we have no milk."

"Well, as long as we are at the store let's get something for dinner."

"Okay, I have been craving stroganough for the longest time."

I sat down and looked for a recipe and I couldn't find one I liked so I yried to get a hold of my Dad because I always loved his recipe for it. Well, my dad wasn't there so I asked my mom and she told me the basics. Thanks Mom!!

While we were at the store we went down the hair care aisle to find some shampoo.

"Hey Todd, I've been thinking about dying my hair, what do you think?"

"Yeah I think it would be cool!"

Then he and I stood in that aisle for 20 min. trying to find the right color. Finally I found it!!

"This is the color I want!!"

"Okay cool!!"

We went home and I went straight into the process of dying it. After I had all of the dye in my hair I went and cooked dinner and finnished the cake. Wow, I can really multi-task.

I then ate my dinner. After I was done I went into the bathroom to wash the dye out. After it was all out I dryed it and then looked in the mirror.

"Wow!!" I thought to myself "I look good!!!"

"Wow! That color looks amazing on you Honey!!"

Now, what color is it now? you ask. Well, I'll tell you. It is a great shade of RED!!!

Minor Surgery!!!

Today I took Todd to the doctors because his toes were bugging him. They had in grown again. We had them removed about 6 months ago but them came back with a vengance.

The doctor took one look and asked Todd how bad it hurts.

"Well, if our cat barely steps on it, it really hurts"

"Okay, then lets take them out"

We went to the room and they numbed his toes. After they numbed them we waited for a while so I went wandering around the room. Todd says I'm weird because I wanted to touch everything. They had the cool casting kits. I wanted one so bad but I didn't have a broken bone. Sad huh?

Anyway, the doctor came back and dove right into the surgery. He lifted up the toenails with these cool scissors and then cut to the root. After that he took a different set of scissors and pulled the ingrown toenails out. Then he took some medicine and killed the root. I thought that it was the coolest thing I've ever seen.

He had a huge nail in his right toe. I took a picture of it after they took it out.

Well that was our exciting day at the doctors.

Can I make a cake and eat it too?

Well, I decided to spoil Todd when he asked me to make him brownies. He and Tyson were watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, so I snuck into the kitchen to make Todd his "brownies" and 40 mins later Todd freaked out because he thought I left the house. I heard him calling my name and I was laughing to myself cause I was so sneaky.

"Honey, where are you? I smell brownies but I can't find them."

"Oh, I didn't make brownies."

"Huh? Why does it smell like it?"

"I only made the best cake in the world. My moms Texas Sheet Cake!! Yum Yum"

I then brought him and Tyson a piece.

"I'm never having brownies again" Todd exclaimed.

"Todd, where did you find this woman? I want a woman who loves me and will make me really good cake!" Tyson asked.

He he he I thought to myself I love my husband. If you didn't guess already when I married Todd I kind of inherited Tyson. But I love him, if anyone out there is single Tyson is looking for someone.

In the end, Todd never wants brownies again. Thanks mom for the recipe.

Our first set of shots!!

Right before the doctor came to see him.

Today was Kayl's first time to get his shots. The day started okay as it usually does. Kayl got up at 8:00 and in doing so woke me up. I got dressed then dressed him. To his surprise he didn't go to the living room to lay down he went straight to his carseat. I took him to the car and he was looking around at everything.

When we got to the doctors I signed us in and then we waited for an hour to see Dr. Pratte because he was busy. So while I was waiting I made a mohawk in his hair. He looked so cute.

Finally they called our name so we went back to the room and they weighed him and measured him. Kayl now weighs 11 pounds and is 22 inches long. The doctor then came in and told us that Kayl is in the low percentile for his age but I told him that he eats a lot so Dr. Pratte said that he just has a really great metabolism.

Then came the not so fun part. The nurse brought in the three shots. Right as she opened the door Kayl started crying. I could tell that it was going to be a long car ride home. Then it was one two three and the shots were done. Boy was Kayl mad. He would not stop screaming. The car ride home was a nightmare. When we got home daddy was there and Kayl stopped crying and fell asleep on his shoulder.

I have to do this all over again in 2 months. Good times!!!

First Post of the Tangreen Family

Well, it is a new year and I decided to get a blog since most people don't have Facebook. Todd and I were excited to have our first child on Oct. 28, 2007. We named him Kayl Jay Tangreen and he is so cute. If any of you know Andrew and Nancy Heiss, Andrew is my brother so that makes Rachel, Kayl's cousin. Kayl has started to hold his head up now and he also smiles. My cats love him and they like to sleep near him. I'll try and keep this updated as much as I can.
