New Job!

Yes, I have gotten a job. I tried so hard to get a job where I wouldn't have to stand but that seems to be impossible. So, after much Job hunting I found a Manager position at EZ Take Out Burger. I work pretty much everyday from 6 pm to close. I tried so hard not to get back onto food service but with all the manager experiance I have it wasn't hard for me to get a manager position right away. Fun times!! Plus I'm the only girl who works there right now!!

My first Collage from Kayl's birth til now!!

Swimming with the fishes!!

Ever since we moved into this apartment Kayl has been so interested in the fish tank that we have. He would love to get in the tank if I would let him. So, the other day I went to my parents house to pick up some things from Sarah and while I was there my Mom asked me if I wanted the little kiddie pool that they got for Rachel. They don't need it anymore because Rachel is moving with my brother and sister-in-law to Egypt next month. I said okay and packed that into the car as well. Thank you very much Mom for the pool and the carseat. Anyway I decided to set it up and see if he would like it. As I was setting it up I found the bag of extra toys that comes with the pool so I threw the toys in the pool. When we got into the pool it was still a little cold but Kayl could have cared less. He had found one of the blow up fishes that was in there and he was intent on chewing on it. He is in love with the pool and the toys. Thanks again Mom!!

Kayl's new Toy!!

Todd and I finally thought that it would be a good idea to get Kayl a walker. Since we were already at Wal-Mart getting a gift for our friends one year old we decided to see what they had to offer. After much deliberation (2 min.) we got the Winnie the Pooh one. It was on sale for 37 dollars and comes with toy trays, music and lights. Kayl seems to enjoy it a little to much because when we took him out of it to feed him and change his diaper he got mad and started screaming. Now all he wants to do is stand in it and play with the toys. It's way too cute!!

My Silly Silly Baby!!

I was doing our laundry today and as I folding it Kayl decided that he wanted to help. He crawled over to where i was folding. I had spred out our pillow cases and things. He crawled right to the pillow case that he could tell was slightly open. I did not help him at all, he did this by himself. He lifted it up and crawled in. Then he turned himself around, while still in the case. He then rolled over and just layed there giggling at me because he was inside the pillowcase. Luckily I had my phone with me or you guys would have missed out on how cute and silly he is.

Getting Ready

Todd and I are getting ready to get sealed in the Temple. Our Bishop recommended that we get some Temple books from Deseret Book. So, yesterday we went to the mall and asked for help in finding the bools we needed. We ended up staying in the store for over an hour looking at different books. The onw that caught our attention, the one we bought, is by Elder Boyd K. Packer and it is called The Holy Temple. After we got home, we called our Bishop to tell him what book we had gotten and he told us that the book we got was an excellent choice. Todd and I put Kayl down for bed and then went into the bedroom and began to read it together. It is such a good book and I think that everyone should read it, even if you aren't planning on going to the temple or have already been. We didn't want to put it down last night.

A busy day for the Tangreen Clan!!

Today was a very busy day for us Tangreens. I woke up this morning around 7:30 and got dressed for church. I woke Todd up and told him to get dressed. Then together we woke Kayl up and got him dressed. See, we had to go to Wales this morning because my cousin just got home from her mission in London and her homecoming was today. When we got there Kayl was not too happy. He didn't really like the drive down there and there were too many people in the house. After everyone got to the house my Aunt Dorthey and Uncle Raymond opened their mission call. They got called to the Cape Town, South Africa mission. Once we all heard the news we headed for the church. Kayl was still alittle grumpy, but after awhile of mom and him playing he was happy enough to go to Grandma Heiss. Of course, Sarah did have to give him her keys. After sacrament meeting we went back over to the house and ate some yummy yummy food. I got to see some of my family members that I haven't seen since before I was married. They were all excited to see Kayl for the first time.

Michael and Michelle
Then we came home to a big surprise. I had been waiting for about a week for Lily to give birth and when we came home she was no where to be seen. I walked down the hall and noticed that Kater was not wanting to go into our room, which is really strange. So, I went to investigate. I got down on my belly and I saw Lily just laying under the bed. At first I didn't see the kittens. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw something move. I screamed for Todd to get in the room. Seeing how he is the only one who can fit under the bed. I told him to lay her on our bed and he went back down and brought up two orange kittens. About 5 min. after he put her on the bed she had a third orange kitten. I was so excited that she had finally given birth. She had a total of 5 kittens. Three orange and two black!!

Then today at about 6 pm we went over to my brothers house for a birthday party. See, my neice Rachel turned one today. So, the family had a little get together. We discovered that Kayl has a fasination for balloons. He and Grandpa were playing with them. It was so cute to watch.

Rachel is so big now. I can't believe that in 3 more months Kayl will be 1 and I'll have toplan a party for him.

It was a fantasiclly tiring day today.

Chili's is where it's at!

Tonight Todd and I decided to go to Chili's for dinner. I've discovered that it is a lot of fun to take Kayl to resteraunts because all the waitresses love him and he has the funniest reaction when we feed him new things. He also gets us free food because the waitresses are so in love with him they give us fun stuff to feed him. I just love his faces that he pulls in the videos

Kayl Runs Away!!

Usually during the day Kayl is just content to roll around on the floor in the living room and play with his toys. He usually lets me get some things done around the house while he does this too.
Yesterday he gave me the run around. See, he is still learning to crawl. He does crawl, but it is more of a scoot than anything. He has been discovering that there are other places to go in the living room.
Since our house is a one bedroom he sleeps in the living room. Usually he will just rearrange our DVD collection around the room but yesterday he scared me to death. I was cleaning mine and Todd's room when I heard so giggling coming from the living room. Usually when he giggles Kater is rubbing up against him tickeling his face. I went out to investigate.
I got out to the living room and I couldn't find Kayl anywhere. I started freaking out and running through the house searching for him. I kept hearing his giggle and still I couldn't see him.
Finally, I saw his finger move from under his crib. I laid down on the floor and looked under the crib. Kayl looked bakc at me with a huge smile and started to laugh at me. I just started to laugh back. It was so funny, I wish I had the camera so you could have seen his face.

Mike's Back!!!

Last week our friend Mike came home from Iraq. He came to Utha this week to visit his family and friends. So, last night I get a call from Tiffany and she invited Todd and I to a bonfire up the Canyon to welcome him home. At first we didn't know if we could find a babysitter in time but thankfully Sarah was willing to babysit him. Thank you Sarah and Mom, sorry Kayl cried the entire time.
When we got to the canyon we were the first ones at the park so Todd decided it would be funny to run around. When he saw Mike and Tiffs car he ran out in the middle of the road to meet them. I know I have a strange husband.
We unloaded their car and started the fire. We made Smores, told stories, and had some great laughs. Mike and Tiff are only here for the week and I will be sad when they go back to California. Tiffany is my bestfriend in the entire world and it is so hard when she is gone because I have no girlfriends to hang out with. Oh, Well! In the end we had a blast and ope that we can see them more while they are here.

Kayl's first Band-Aid!

Tonight was Todd and my Halo night. Usually during Halo night Kayl is a good boy and plays with Daddy's controller, but tonight he decided it would be fun to grab Daddy's empty soda can and try to drink out of it. The second he had grabbed it Todd took it away and Kayl started to cry. Todd took a closer look and noticed that there was some blood around his lips. Todd freaked out and ran him over to me. Upon closer examination I noticed that it was his thumb that had a little slice on it. I went into the bathroom and grabbed a Band-Aid. When I got back Kayl decided that he was okay so he resumed his quest to get the soda can. I grabbed him and he starte to cry again because I took him away from the can. I then proceeded to put the Band-Aid on. Now, his goal is to get the Band-Aid off of his finger. It is really funny!
NO MORE SODA KAYL!! (hehehe)

The Fish Tank and Mr. Haru

I was trying to feed the fish today and moment that Haru heard the tank open he ran over to it. He jumped into Kayl's crib and then on top of the tank. I was dumpnig the little flakes in and the fish were swimming to them to eat them, but the moment they saw Haru's face appear they scattered. Haru just sat there and watched. He was too nervous to actually stick his paw in and grab one when they came closer to him, but he was so cute to watch.
Kayl is also very interesed in the fish. He loves to watch them swim around and really loves when Daddy scares them.

As you may have noticed, I put music at the bottom of my blog and I would like everybody who visits my blog to please listen to the song entitled Storybook Love. It is mine and Todd's new favorite song. It has such a powerful meaning about love in it. Please listen to it and tell me what you think. Love you all thanks for reading my blog!!!

Big news times 4!!

At this moment in time Kayl is getting four of his top teeth. He is in a world of pain. I have discovered that Target sells these amazing reusable ice cubes. I give him these to chew on after they refreeze along with his freezable teething rings and it help for a little bit but not very long. Oragel is the best invention ever!! I have also stared using a peeled big carrot and that is good for him to chew on because if he does happen to slice a little off he is eating at the same time. Poor baby!! He always has a miserable face on. Somedays I wish babies were born with all of their teeth. Oh Well, we'll both live!!

Fireworks!!

I was very nervous when it came to Fireworks because I had no idea if Kayl was going to like them or if he was going to cry the entire time. I geuss that he takes after his dad because he was fearless. When I was holding a sparkler he tried to jump out of daddy's arms and grab it. When we were lighting the fireworks that we had he would sit there and watch them. If one of them was the screaming type he would jump then get really excited and try to scream as loud as it. He was so cute!

This was our Grand Finale!!

Here is some of the fireworks at the Stadium of Fire. We left before the Grand Finale because Kayl was so tired and needed to go to bed.

Parade Fun!!

Yesterday, after Todd got home I decided that we should go and find a spot for the parade. So , we packed a blanket and chairs and drove over to University Ave. I found the perfect spot. It was right in front of the 7-11.
This morning we got a wake up call from Sarah at about 7:45 asking us where we were sitting. I told her that we would be there in ten minutes and to find the 7-11 and our star blanket. I then got dressed and fed and changed Kayl. We got in the car and found a really good parking spot. Then we walked to our spot. Sarah was already there waiting for us and Kayl was so excited to see her. Ooo Loud noises!!
I'm so tired!
AHHH CHOOO!!
This was the float that my old stake entered in the parade. The straw actually shot water out at people. It was so cool!
Here it is again!
Babar! I need to find where they sell his books. I loved reading about him!
It's Emily and Jacob!!
Jacob got embarressed when I called out his name. He just rolled his eyes and tried to ignore me. I don't think it worked.

Darth Vader even came to march in the parade!

Sarah commented that she wanted to be the lady in blue because it looked fun.

I see Auntie Em and Uncle Jakey!!
Sarah and I were so loud when that Democratic parties car drove by. Everyone around us was booing but Sarah and I were cheering and people looked at us funny and we just laughed. It was so much fun. I think that we will go again next year!
